We spent a lot of time traveling in the car today and I happily used that time to do some paper piecing. My nephew was sitting next to me and asked if he could stitch, too. I wasted no time hooking him up with a needle and thread. He stitched quietly for a while after I told him to pull his stitches a little tighter and made this observation: “It’s kind of like a dog pulling too hard on its leash and choking like a chicken.” Children have such interesting explainations of the world. And, boy, is it fun to have crafty little people in my life.
