I’ve been very busy fabric shopping and talking to experts, because this weekend I plan to attempt what I consider the marathon of craft. I will attempt to reupholster an old couch and chair with no previous experience. I’ve never done this before, so I don’t know any better. This could end in massive disaster, but it might rock, too. So, of course, I have to try.
If I pull this off with the wild fabric above, I’m going to totally love our old hand-me-down furniture and wish I would have done this years ago. If I goof, oh well, I won’t be ruining any heirlooms. I’ll be writing up the experience for a story that will run soon in my newspaper, so I’ll check back for that link. In the meantime, if you have any words of wisdom to share, feel free to post below or e-mail me. I’m going to need all the support I can get to complete this project.
In other CraftSanity news, we’re working on episode 93 of the podcast and hope to get that interview with Jennifer Paganelli, the fabric designer of Sis Boom fame, out to you ASAP. We still have sponsor openings for upcoming episodes, so check out the sponsor info and let Jeff know if your interested in promoting your business, blog or other crafty venture.
I’ve been running and I’m very happy to reporting that at least three other Craft Club members have committed to running the Fifth Third River Bank run in May. And there’s still plenty of time to work on converting more unsuspecting people to the runner’s lifestyle. If you’re local and interested in lacing up with us, let me know.
Can you hear my teeth chattering? It’s sooo very cold today. This is great knitting weather, but horrible to drive in. Be safe, everyone, and don’t go out unless you have to. Mother Nature apparently wants us to stay home and craft. : )
