My Made For TV Apron

I just finished a new apron to wear tomorrow when I demonstrate Halloween crafts on the WZZM-TV Channel 13 program “Take Five & Company.” Sounds like I’ll be on around 9:40ish for about 4 minutes. I can barely say my name in four minutes, so this ought to be interesting.  I’m going to do my best not to break anything or say one of those seven words you can’t say on TV. It’s live, so I only get one shot at this. Wish me luck.

The new apron is another reversible Emmeline and totally worth the mad dash to complete it. Hopefully, I’ll still like it in the morning.

I’ll be back soon with the scoop on my TV adventure.  In the meantime… you know what to do. :  )

The following time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I imply, I know it was my choice to read, but I actually thought youd have something attention-grabbing to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could repair if you happen to werent too busy searching for attention.

  • Im very excited to be adding a portable indoor cyanotype
2 weeks ago by craftsanity I’m very excited to be adding a portable, indoor cyanotype printing set up to my studio that I will also be able to use to sprout my seeds for spring planting. Today is nice and sunny so I made a quick doily test print out on the deck. This form of printing is so much faster and cleaner than carving lino. However, I have no plans to give up printing with ink and look forward to continuing to explore all forms of printmaking. : )  #cyanotype   #cyanotypes   #sunprinting   #doilies   #sunprint   #printmaker   #fiberartist   #fiberart   #testprint

1 week ago by craftsanity Learning to embrace and celebrate life’s imperfections is a very freeing experience. I’m practicing this twice a week with muddy hands and wishing I had more time to spend exploring what can be made with clay and a bit of patience.  #pottery   #potterswheel   #throwing   #artschool   #throwingpottery   #grcc   #potter   #imadethis   #art   #mugs   #mud   #artist   #imlearning   #rookievibes   #trysomethingnew   #clay   #handmadeinmichigan

  • Im up way past my bedtime but I did manage
2 days ago by craftsanity I’m up way past my bedtime, but I did manage to salvage my day and end it well. I shared a peanut butter apple with my daughter on our way back from art school this evening and it tasted amazing. Life is sweeter when you take a moment to reflect on what really matters. I was the last student to leave this space today.  #arttherapy   #pottery   #motherdaughterart   #art   #learningstuff
