This week my craft column is about a talented woman name Jeri Fry who knows how to make the most of her fabric scraps. She introduced me to “string quilting” and shared directions for the Dryer Sheet Quilts she likes to make using this technique.
Jeri created a monster when she showed me an English Paper Piecing technique and sent me on my way with some paper hexagons and two-inch fabric squares. I love this project so much, that I have to spread the word about it. If you live in West Michigan and would like to learn how to do this, I like to invite you to a free workshop I’m leading at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the David D. Hunting YMCA in Grand Rapids. Email me by noon Tuesday to reserve your seat. Space is limited, so act fast. I hope to see you there!
