1 week ago by craftsanity I just finished coloring a print for Aquinas College. I was really enjoying the process until I got the news alert on my watch that there was another mass shooting in Texas today. This violence is beyond ridiculous. Guns are killing people. They are manufactured as killing machines after all. Without access to guns, a deranged person would have a difficult time going on a shooting spree. It’s time to up the degree of difficulty when it comes to obtaining weapons and try harder to save our own lives. We can’t go on like us. It’s completely uncivilized.  #craftsanitypress   #print

1 week ago by craftsanity My youngest daughter and I picked these apples off the tree we planted in our yard several years ago. It’s never produced more than a few apples, but this year there are a few dozen. Still not a lot, but I’m very excited about these sweet/tart-tasting, homegrown beauties. I could definitely happily live on a small orchard. I just love the satisfying feeling that comes from growing our own food. I wish more emphasis was put on suburban farming as opposed to exhaustive efforts to keep one’s lawn as green and weed-free as the neighbors’. Growing food and natural dyes
