I’ve been so busy making wooden peg looms for my shop, that I haven’t had much time to weave on them lately. For this reason, I made a point to involve weaving in this year’s Halloween decor crafting. Now I “have to” weave. : )
Soon this stack of woven potholders will be transformed into a festive Halloween banner. I’ll post another photo when it’s finished. In the meantime, I have to get to work on the green squares. (If you’re curious about how to weave with fabric on a potholder loom, you can watch a TV clip of me demonstrating the process here.)
A call for Halloween craft ideas
The banner will probably also be used in a photo shoot that will take place later this week for a Halloween crafting story I’m writing for the GR Press. I have a bunch of projects in the works, but I’d love to feature some of your great ideas, too. So, if you have any spooky craft Halloween ideas that you’d like to share, please send them my way ASAP. (I’m trying to wrap up my work on this project by day’s end Wednesday. If I feature your project idea, I will credit you as the brilliant source, link to you and the whole nine yards. (Note: You don’t have to live in West Michigan to contribute an idea. If you’re reading this you qualify.) Thanks!
