This postcard traveled all the way from London and landed in my P.O. Box today. It’s from my CraftSanity postcard swap partner, Michelle, and it’s fantastic. The swap theme was spring and Michelle wrote: “… my inspiration was from the forced sprouting of lima beans,” a project she did as a kid in school. (I loved sprouting seeds in science class and still get quite a kick out of growing plants from seeds in the garden.)
Textured with stitching and even a little knitted sprout, this postcard is very impressive and something easily characterized as art. Very nice work, Michelle. I love it!
I finally set up a flickr account for the CraftSanity postcard swap, so check it out. If you participated in the fabric postcard swap, you should have received an e-mail invite from me to join the CraftSanity Postcard Swap 2008 group. If you didn’t, please let me know.
I can’t wait to see pictures of all the postcards. Cheers! – JAH
