Campfires, Friendship Bracelets and a Podcast Update

by jennifer

Time flies when it’s summer, eh? Wow, is the season whipping by fast. We have been taking the girls camping and on the lookout for handmade goods along the way. We hit the handmade jackpot during last week’s travels. Stay tuned for all the details in my Sunday column in The Grand Rapids Press.

I’ve been having fun planning projects and stories for the fall and winter issues of CraftSanity Magazine. There is still a lot of interviewing and writing to be done, but things are moving along nicely. I’m still squeezing in project tutorials, so get in touch if you have a vintage inspired potholder pattern or some other cozy fall project for the home to share. I’m also looking for winter and holiday projects in all mediums. And if you’d just like to suggest a story idea for me to pursue, I’d love to hear from you.

On the advertising front, I’m offering a 10 percent discount to those who place adds in both the fall and winter issues. You can check out the rates on the sponsorship page.

Speaking of sponsorship, I’m starting to get some new podcast sponsors which means that I will be producing a new episode this weekend. (Thank you so much!) I’ve really missed podcasting these last couple months, but I had to put it on the back burner to focus on paying gigs. If you would like to help me keep the show on a regular schedule, please consider buying an ad to promote your handmade business or blog.

During the last couple days, I’ve been whipping up friendship bracelets for Beverly’s swap. It will be a mad dash to the finish, but I love having a reason to return to a craft I loved as a teen and the suspense of waiting to see what kind of bracelets I will get in return. If you love friendship bracelets, too, be sure to check out this Purl Bee tutorial and then stay up all night making bracelets to swap. :  )

I have more to share, but I have to head out for a bit. I’ll meet you back here later, okay? Great, see you then. :  )
