100 Miles Later: CraftSanity Magazine Is Available At Local Newstands

by jennifer

When I was a kid I always thought it would be grand to have a newspaper route or work for the post office and deliver letters and goodies to people every day. Now I fulfill that childhood wish every season when a new issue of CraftSanity Magazine comes back from the printer and it’s time to deliver the issues to the kind retailers who help me bring the publication to the masses.

Yesterday I spent the morning addressing envelopes to all you wonderful people who ordered magazines and thinking how lucky I am to have your support. (Thank you so much!) Then Jeff and I updated the shop invoices and loaded into the car with the kids for an afternoon of deliveries. We stopped for a stir fry lunch in Grand Rapids and eventually hit candy and ice cream shops in downtown Holland. We also enjoyed our time looking at great books and magazines at Reader’s World in Holland. I dig that store for the variety it offers and not just because they carry my magazine and even decided to stock some back issues, too.

We capped the day off with a stop at our local library to sign the girls up for the summer reading club. We also signed up for the reading club at Schuler Books, too. So while the day was filled with CraftSanity business, we were together as a family and we had fun along the way.

I had a neighborhood park down the road from my cilhdhood house. I lived at that house for 7 years, and by the time I moved, it had been demo’d and was beginning to be turned into another development. In fact, almost all my cilhdhood wilderness spots have been turned into these pretty developments makes me sad.

Good point. And you know what? I think a good client shouldn’t want creatives to care about effectiveness.A car driver doesn’t want an engine to worry about steering, does he? No. That’s the steering wheel’s job. We all got a different focus but the whole works better that way.

I keep my spices and herbs in air tight containers, well labeled, in a dedicated freezer (I have 2 fridge and one upright freezers in my home). I take out what I need and let warm to room temp before using.

When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get several e-mails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Appreciate it!
