It was a real kick to meet Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably, at Kaffe’s lecture and slide show this evening here in West Michigan.
The lecture, given as part of the 25th year shop anniversary for the Wyoming, Mich. – based Threadbender Inc., was both entertaining and inspiring. I even got a free scarf because the shop owner, Juliane Anderson, gave away 25-years worth of scarves made of sample yarn to all the attendees.
I saw plenty of familiar faces and artists who I’ve profiled in my column at the event which was great. The only drawback is that Kaffe’s presentation left me feeling restless to start a few dozen new projects, which means I will soon completely run out of time to sleep. : )
I’m too exhausted to do Kaffe justice in this space tonight, so check back for the details. In the meantime, here’s a bit of excellent news to get you through: Kaffe let me to record his lecture and I will be sharing it with you soon as an upcoming episode of CraftSanity. So stay tuned!

I love reading these articles because they’re short but informative.
Touchdown! That’s a really cool way of putting it!
You so funny Sheen, Your Blog really cheers me up. I know my Afrikaans is versriklik my Zulu is so much better. Remember that time I spoke to Gerrit and Theo in afrikaans with zulu words in by accident and they looked at me as if i was mucking fad.
I love scary books! I am quite difficult to scare though, so it’s hard to think of one that has had me scared all the way through. The hedge animals in Stephen King’s The Shining properly freaked me out, as did his short story The Road Virus Heads North.I was bought House of Leave s for my birthday, which I’ve been told is one of the scariest stories ever. I’ve not started it yet, I’m scared it won’t live up to the hype for me. I think I’m going to save it for when I’m off work at Christmas so I can read it in big, scary chunks
