Today I flew for the first time since 1998. The sky was a wash of orange and pink at sunrise and both the takeoff and landing were smooth, so everything is right with the world. (Control freaks like me don’t really like to fly.) I have to maintain a high level of secrecy about where I am until tomorrow, but I can share this picture of my in-flight craft project. After 10 years without taking a real vacation (my husband and I are total homebodies) we flew to a warm place where (today at least) it is a little cold and rainy. Now I don’t feel so bad about staying home for 10 years. : )
I have high hopes of having some fun this week, but my heart is back home with our dog, Juna. (We’ve never left her in a kennel before.)
