Rookie Reupholstery Project Inspires This Thought: ‘This Couch Better Rock When I’m Done!’

by jennifer

What have I done?

I spent several hours last night and this morning removing loads of staples from our old couch. I know, I’m a real party animal. Whoo-hoo!

I’m finding that the reupholstery prep is not too difficult, but very labor intensive, time consuming and a little painful when your hand slips. (My first injury came about 15 minutes after I started.)

Looking at my naked couch it is very clear that there is no turning back now. I’m committed to this couch make-over project. The goal is to get it put back together today. Now I’m off to buy some new padding and a few other supplies. I want to do a good job on this because I don’t want to have to repeat this process for many, many years. Somehow it’s just not as fun as knitting, at least not yet. I might change my mind when I get out the electric staple gun. I’m starting to really dig power tools. :  )

There are actually lots of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great level to carry up. I supply the ideas above as normal inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you carry up where an important thing will probably be working in sincere good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, however I’m sure that your job is clearly identified as a good game. Both girls and boys really feel the impact of only a second’s pleasure, for the remainder of their lives.

There may be noticeably a bundle to know about this. I assume you made certain nice points in options also.
