The iPhone Gets Crafty

knitapp.jpgI haven’t had much time to knit lately, but I’m ready to go high tech with my next project thanks to a new iPhone application.

If you knit or crochet, check out StitchMinder, a free stitch counting application for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. I usually count rows by my making hash marks on a tiny Post-it note that I stick to my pattern, but I’m digging this paperless option.

StitchMinder includes four customizable counters to track rows completed, pattern rows, increases and decreases.  And each counter counts up and down. While it’s intended for knitting, I’ll probably use this application for crocheting, too.

What to you make of all this? What kind of technology do you use when you craft?
