3 days ago by craftsanity The bees are big fans of my lavender plants. When I become a beekeeper, I will be sure to plant lavender by the hives. Tomorrow I’m going to attempt to make a homemade lavender essential oil. It takes a crazy amount of fresh lavender, but it will be really cool if it works. I’m still adding lavender to my yard. 3 days ago by craftsanity Lavender farming is hard work. Today I’ve spent hours harvesting, bundling, and hanging it up to dry. I also prepped four cups worth for a very experimental batch of essential oil. And, after all that, there is more to harvest. 2 days ago by craftsanity Here’s a scene from my Sunday morning walk. I really enjoy watching these wild sunflowers bloom in the same place every year. I might order seeds and add them to my garden next year so I can watch the whole process up close. If more people took the time to plant seeds and watch them grow, I imagine that the world would feel like a much kinder place.
