CraftSanity Podcast Episode 193: A conversation with artist, teacher and world traveler Jane LaFazio

by jennifer

Jane LaFazio is a watercolor and mixed media artist, art quilter and all-around creative force with a passion for travel and teaching others how to draw and paint. However, with a background in graphic design and technical illustration, this is not the combination of work LaFazio thought she would ever pursue full time.

In her 20s, LaFazio met and married Don, a slightly older man who had a stable job at Hewlett Packard. Together they were globetrotters in the prime of their lives when all their plans unraveled.

You can read the rest of the story I wrote about LaFazio by subscribing to the Craft Industry Alliance Journal. Tune in to this episode of the podcast to hear the story of how art helped LaFazio find her way and reconnect with herself in the wake of a unexpected, life-changing event.

LaFazio is a wonderful storyteller with a great sense of humor and real-life game show and flight attendant experience, so this episode was a particular treat to record.

Learn more about LaFazio’s work by following her on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook. And check out her Etsy Shop, too.

I’m having a lot of trouble with this podcast. The audio is really bad. I’ve tried listening to it at the website on my laptop. I’ve downloaded to listen to it that way. I’ve listened to it on my phone. It’s all the same very scratchy and hard to hear. Am I doing something wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated. :) Thank you.
