Plowing Through

by jennifer

Here it is Thursday and I have a seemingly impossible pile of work to tackle before the weekend. How will I get it all done?  I’m not sure exactly. My strategy has always been to power through on limited sleep. But as I purge unnecessary goods goods from my home, I’m also reorganizing my schedule. The nasty cold that took me out for most of March has returned in a milder form, highlighting once again that sleep is not optional. We need it to be our best. I need to do less and sleep more and this is a difficult concept for people like me to embrace. But mindful change can be very good, so I’m working on it.

In case you missed it, I wrote a revealing column about my cluttered studio that was published in the Sunday edition of The Grand Rapids Press. Check it out and get inspired to clean up your creative space. People often ask me how I “do it all,” and this column is my response. The truth is you can’t “do it all” – at least not very well. Stuff piled up in my life while I was “too busy” doing other things. Now I’m working on bringing my life into peaceful order. It’s difficult work, but it must be done.

I’ll update you on my progress soon. In the meantime I have newspaper stories to write and more editing, writing and pattern and recipe testing to do for the issue 3 of CraftSanity Magazine. Have a great day, everyone!

With havin a lot written content do you somehow run into any problems of plagiarism infringement? My site has a lot of completely unique material I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement. Do you know any ways to help protect against content from being stolen? I’d truly appreciate it.
