CraftSanity on TV: Weaving with Fabric on Potholder and Other Peg Looms
Yesterday I did my weekly “Take Five” craft segment on weaving with fabric on potholder and other peg looms. (I admit I’m a bit obsessed with the topic right now.) I’ll be demonstrating this technique and selling looms from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow (Sunday 9/6/09) at the Fulton Street Artisans Market near the corner of Fulton Street and Fuller Avenue in Grand Rapids, Mich. If you’re local please stop by and say hello.
Here’s the the clip:

Jennifer, I wish you lived next door to me!! Please be sure to show us the rug when it’s finished. This looks like so much fun. I can’t wait to get my loom and get started.

Jennifer – the looms are a great idea and you did a really nice job demonstrating them. I really like the placemat size and look forward to seeing them in your shop. They will make great Christmas presents. Thank you!

You’re a loom-lady! Love the idea and the looms are beautiful. I like the different sizes available, too. You sure are making the best of your time away from your old day job – very inspirational. Thanks!

[...] Soon this stack of woven potholders will be transformed into a festive Halloween banner. I’ll post another photo when it’s finished. In the meantime, I have to get to work on the green squares. (If you’re curious about how to weave with fabric on a potholder loom, you can watch a TV clip of me demonstrating the process here.) [...]
