CraftSanity Podcast Episode 186: A conversation with ‘Inside Edition’ anchor Deborah Norville about her handmade heritage, yarn line and new gig hosting the PBS series ‘Knit and Crochet Now’
Like many of us, Deborah Norville is a multi-crafter who only goes to Joanns when she has a coupon. She believes in soft yarn and crafting through good times and bad.
Widely known for the 21 years she has been anchoring “Inside Edition,” this two-time Emmy winner and New York Times Best Selling author is also an adept crafter who enjoys sewing, knitting, crocheting, macramé, embroidery, needlepoint and cross stitch – but probably not all at once.
She learned to knit as a kid with rough rug yarn and in 2008 partnered with Premier Yarns to create her own Deborah Norville Collection of super soft yarns. Her collection now includes more than 20 yarns. In addition, she is also the author of “Knit with Deborah Norville,” a collection of more than 18 projects and classic patterns for knitting.
Deborah, a married mother of three, came on the podcast to discuss all of this and her new gig as the host of “Knit and Crochet Now!,” the PBS series that is kicking off Season 7 this month. (Check your local listings for air dates and times.)
