CraftSanity Podcast Episode 161: Stitch Away Stress with Twinkie Chan

TC - Ice Crea ScarfFeeling a little stressed? Me, too.

When deadlines are looming and sleep deprivation makes you feel like you’re running on creative fumes, it’s time to grab some yarn from your stash and get stitching.

In honor of National Stress Awareness Month, San Francisco-based crochet designer Twinkie Chan has teamed up with the Craft Yarn Council to help all of us reflect on the stress busting wonders of knit and crochet. Since Twinkie has a long-established penchant for crocheting fun, food-themed scarves and other accessories, it’s no surprise that she has designed a lemon stress-ball to stitch, stuff and squeeze vigorously as needed. acshomeandwork-300x124I discovered ACS when I was looking for a local source for flour sack tea towels to use for my printmaking and embroidery projects. I’m happy to be supporting a West Michigan-based company with my business and ACS is graciously sponsoring the CraftSanity Podcast.

Local West Michigan listeners can shop ACS products at the Red Door, 6837 Lake Michigan Dr, in Allendale Charter Township. It’s the ACS outlet and also a pickup location for locals who want to order flour sack tea towels and other goods and skip the shipping costs. Visit Red door for a variety of tea towels and other home goods.
