CraftSanity is Going to FestiBooks this Saturday in Ann Arbor!

Happy Monday, folks! Just popping in to let you locals know that I’ll be joining local authors, publishers and crafters at FestiBooks, a cool event taking place this weekend at Workantile, 118 S. Main, in Ann Arbor. (We’re in the midst of a massive heatwave here in Michigan, so it’s important to note that this event is taking place indoors, in an air conditioned venue.)
Festibooks starts Friday with a celebration of “Romance and Rockets,” but I’ll be there from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday on the “YA & DIY” day. It’s going to be tricky to haul my magazines and looms downtown while the streets are shut down for the city’s multiple art festivals, but I’m going to work it out because I’m very excited to meet all the book-loving crafters who will converge in Arbor on Saturday. The city has a great shuttle system to make attending this weekend’s event pretty smooth. You can research your best parking options here.
I’m really looking forward to meeting the event co-organizer, David Erik Nelson, author of “Snip, Burn, Solder, Shred: Seriously Geeky Stuff to Make with Your Kids” and all-round creative dude.
I’m going to be selling CraftSanity Magazine and CraftSanity Looms as well as doing some weaving demos. I hope you can come check out the event that will also feature lots of art, craft and books.
See you Saturday!

Oh, have fun! I would LOVE to go if I was in the area :-). Just finished the crocheted market bag from issue three and can now put it to good use!

Oh, how I miss the Ann Arbor festivals and craft fairs…I loved walking through the streets, stopping for ice cream along the way. You have oodles of fun! Cheers!
