CraftSanity Magazine Pre-Order Preview

Ok, folks, the premiere issue of CraftSanity magazine is set to ship out Tuesday Dec. 7 (revised date)and I can’t wait for you to see it! The magazine is 8″x8″ and contains 44 pages featuring 15 projects ranging from knitting and crochet to sewing, weaving, paper craft and embroidery. And because I LOVE to interview people, it also includes handmade stories and Q&A interviews. You’ll also find recipes, gift tags, and an adorable paper doll with a penchant for quilting, reviews and a gift guide, too.

Here’s a peek inside…

I made this quarterly magazine for you with the help of many wonderfully talented contributors. Inside Issue 1, you’ll find work by the following artists and crafters: Cathy Carron, Lindy Graff, Anna Hrachovec, Sarah London, Alessandra Hayden, Rebecca Green, Alyssa Thomas, Cydney Colvig, Linda Tieu, Steven Rainey and a generous knitter named Jake. You’ll also find Diane Morgan’s delicious recipe for homemade graham crackers and get inspired when knitter Debbie Bliss gives us a peek inside her sketchbook. I included a few of my own projects, including and a mod hexagon apron tutorial for you to enjoy, too.

This magazine project was a labor of love that would not have been possible without the pagination and tech support of my husband, Jeff. We worked on the magazine late at night at our kitchen table and it felt like things had come full circle for us. We met at our college newspaper and have worked for the same news publications ever since. This was a fun project to tackle together while our daughters were sleeping.

You can reserve your copy of the print publication here.

Order by Dec. 5 and you’ll save $1 off the $12 cover price. The electronic edition ($3.99) will be released Tuesday, Dec.7, too.

If you would like to stock CraftSanity Magazine in your bookstore or craft shop, please contact me about retail discounts.

Thanks so much for your support as I embark on a new creative adventure. Check out Issue 1 and don’t be shy about submitting your story and project ideas for Issue 2 which will be published in Spring 2011. And feel free to contact me if you’re interested in advertising in the next issue. I’d love to have you on board.

Ok, now it’s time for me to go edit a podcast. I have interviewed several contributors to the magazine and want to bring you those interviews ASAP, so stay tuned!
