Today Was A Great Day At The Fulton Street Artisans Market In Grand Rapids
What a great opening day for the Fulton Street Artisans Market in Grand Rapids! I sold several looms (Thank you, dear customers!) and enjoyed meeting some very supportive column readers. A special thanks to our kind booth neighbors for helping Jeff and I set up the new “EZ Up” tent for the first time. And thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth to chat. I love meeting all of you talented folks and hearing your stories. LOVE it!
I won’t be selling at the market every single week, but I will definitely be back soon. I’ll post updates on the blog as soon as I settle on some dates. (If you’re local, you can order looms from me anytime via e-mail and arrange for pick-up to save on shipping.)
The only bummer of the day (besides forgetting my hand-stitched CraftSanity sign at home) was that I wasn’t able to take my time visiting with fellow vendors. This is always a problem when I’m selling, too. On the bright side I did spot several future column possibilities, so stay tuned for those.
A special thanks to Dulce, of sock monkey fame, and Catherine, of JustJaynes, for showing me some craft love and buying large 26-peg CraftSanity looms. I will be adding this size to my online shop in a day or two, so keep an eye out for those. They’re great for making fun summer bags and patchwork rugs out of recycled t-shirts or bed linens. So fun!
I brought the whole family to the market today which was a little hectic, then I went running after dinner. I’m feeling pretty wiped out, so work on the next podcast and newspaper column will resume in the morning.
Cheers to summer, crafty conversation and outdoor art markets! (Nice work, FSAM organizers!)

Good seeing you there…it is a bummer when you can’t get out and chat (and purchase) with others. I felt the same way yesterday!

I can’t wait to start weaving! I found some fabric that I think will be perfect. Will post pics on my blog and Facebook page! JustJaynes.blogspot.com

It was a great day!!! Weather couldn’t have been more cooperative. If anyone is interested, you can check out pictures of the market’s opening day at our Facebook page. Just search for Fulton Street Artisans.
Thanks for everything, Jenn. Hope to see you back really soon.

I love my new loom. I already made me a bag and I am getting so many compliments from it. I have sent them over to your site.
But I think I need some of your cards.
It was very nice to see you too.
