Happy New Year!
Well I made it to the finish line of the Wolverine New Year’s Resolution Run yesterday without wiping out on the slick course and ruining my new apron. It was fun to run the race with my fellow Road Warriors. (You can read more about my Road Warrior journey over here.) The race was a good way to end the year and a great reality check to remind me that I have a lot of serious training to do before running a 25K on May 8.
I’m going to keep this post brief because I’m up to my ears in work. I’m making looms, setting up podcast and column interviews and working on a new art quilt. I do want to go on record with my intentions to make the most out of the opportunities that come my way in 2010. I want to write a book this year, run faster than previous years, and make as many new aprons as I can. I want to sew more for my family and take time to craft a few projects for myself, too. But most importantly, I want to clean up my act and declutter my home. I think purging out the clutter is going to be more challenging than losing weight. Wish me luck, folks. I’m really going to need it.
Thanks for making 2009 a great year for CraftSanity. I’m so looking forward to crafting more sanity with you in 2010!

Jennifer – Check out FlyLady for help with decluttering. Her methods are life changing – at least for me.
Thanks for all you do. Happy New Year!

Great work, Jennifer! You look so athletic and stylin’.
Speaking of decluttering, I’ll have beads & such for the girls’ craft club you wrote about.

You are the best and such an inspiration for those of us who listen to you! Decluttering is my goal this year and finishing my craft room so that I can do all those things I long to create! May we all have the energy to not only achieve our goals…but to enjoy life too!

I LOVE that you run with an apron on! Fantastic! Best of luck with all your intentions this year. I worked really hard over this holiday to purge my house. I accomplished a lot, but there’s always more.
I bought a small peg loom from you this past week, I’m excited. I want my daughter (who is only 2 1/4) to start enjoying weaving, as much as a toddler can.
Happy New Year!

I’ll bet you were the best-dressed runner out there! Love the apron. And congrats on finishing. It looks like you’re getting back on track (pun intended) like you wanted. Hope the year holds lots of victories (and aprons) for you!

Congratulations! I’m impressed by how you keep reinventing yourself and pushing yourself in new directions. Check out the book “Throw Out 50 Things” if you need help getting into the right state of mind for a purge. Good luck on all your plans.

Now that I’m taking my sketchpad instead of my camera as I walk around my city neighborhoods, I find I see more, because I’m looking slowly & in detail.

Hi! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog. Is it hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Many thanks
