Earth Day promo: Check out digital editions of Quilting Arts and Cloth Paper Scissors magazines for free
The girls and I made a quick stop at the grocery store this afternoon. As I drove out of the parking lot, Abby said: “Mom, look! Somebody’s not taking care of the Earth.”
“What do you mean, Abby?”
“Somebody littered,” she said, pointing at a piece of trash blowing across the concrete.
This wasn’t an Earth Day crackdown. Abby always comments when she spots trash from her car seat perch. She’s only 4, but she gets that it’s not cool to be 45 and chucking a tissue or whole bag of McDonald’s trash out the window on the highway. Unfortunately, we’ve seen people do this and I’m sorry that it happens, but I do find Abby’s response and her 3-year-old sister’s collective anger about littering refreshing. If preschoolers are concerned about the Earth, I think there’s hope for us yet.
In honor of Earth Day, I want to make sure you all know that the nice folks at Interweave Press are letting us check out digital editions of the Quilting Arts April/May issue and the Cloth Paper Scissors May/June issue for free until April 29. Click this link for some paperless inspiration. What a great Earth Day promo.

My David’s a part of the litter patrol too – wish grown ups had the common sense of children sometimes. THank you for the link!

Oooh! Thanks for the link to the magazines! I love Cloth, Paper, Scissors but it’s not in my budget to subscribe yet, so this is fun! Did you get to see their Studio edition? That’s one I did buy. Why is it so fun to see other people’s studios? There are a couple books about that, too. Also, check out this link for more studios: http://www.fiberarts.com/contests/studio/artists.asp
