The book looks gorgeous, I really really want to learn to needle felt.
I can picture a real tree branch sat on my kitchen window sill with lots of little needle felted birds, like the british robin and blue tit perched on the branches!

Oh, I love the tree idea. I have been obsessed with
woodland creatures lately. I would love to felt some gnomes,
fairies and mushrooms. Maybe this book can show me how!!!

I would love to needle felt the Massachusetts state bird – the black capped chickadee. I’ve been watching them at my winter feeder, but alas it is time to put the feeder up as the bears are sure to come out of hibernation now that it’s warming up.

It would be fun to needlefelt a cat and our two dogs, so my son could take them to college with him! My MIL would love a mini version of her “puggle” too.

Not original, but sheep are nice. Definitely some critter that flocks or herds so that I can do a bunch of them.
Is there a possum?

I’d love to needlefelt my dog. I think a cute pitbully-looking lab mix would be nice! Also a border collie for my friend’s birthday.

I’m a fish biologist and I would love to felt a wee Chinook salmon, coho salmon, steelhead trout, and cutthroat trout – just to cover all four of the main species I work on : ) They would look so cool in my office.

I am so charmed by your designs! I love love the branch-with-birds idea. Do you already have a chipmunk? I so miss Chipmunks growing up in the northeast, and have little squirrels and chipmunks around the house now to keep me in mind of them. I would love to make a felted one, and I believe you have a squirrel already, which I *will* make!

I’m not sure what’s in your book yet, but a lion would be neat! With a huge, fuzzy mane! Or how bout a bug parade? Bugs are always a hit with kids.
I’m looking forward to hearing the podcast. I’ve been wanting to learn to do needle felting for a while now. Thanks for all you do in the crafting world Jennifer! You inspire me :)

Great show! I love the felt animals and would love to see a dog. Possibly a pug! My daughter would love to do this. She’s 12 and has done some needle felting in school and she’s passionate about dogs. I plan to let her pick out a kit to order. Keep up the good work Jennifer. Donna

What an inspiring show! I tried needle felting a while ago in a free class at my LYS, but it didn’t really grab me. All these cute felted critters have given me the bug again! I think you should have a mushroom kit. Maybe with a gnome or fairy or something? Cute!

I enjoyed your interview. I like the idea of endangered animals kits. People could collect them. You could include an informational sheet on that animal. You could charge a little bit more, and a portion of the proceeds could go to preserving their habitat.

I still consider myself a newbie to felting but I just love, love, love it! I love recycling sweaters and needle felting but have yet to try wet felting. I have been eyeing this book on amazon. Roving is had to come around in this small town so what would be helpful is a getting started kit with different colors of roving. Tips from experienced felters would also be great!

Thank you for this wonderful interview, Jennifer! I’ve just started teaching myself to needle felt, but I can already see that this craft is going to be a permanent fixture in my life. Information on needle felting isn’t as plentiful as it is for some other crafts (I think you’re right when you say it hasn’t yet reached its peak), so it’s especially nice to see a needle felter featured.
One of the things I’m eager to make is a decorative chain or garland of smaller felted items–butterflies, flowers, bugs, cute animals could all work. I also adore Holly’s mushroom suggestion above! As an avid mushroom picker, I would definitely go for that kit.

I love needle felting-I’m getting ready to wet needle felt on a wool vest that I made recently-right now it is a bit boring but I think the needle felting will jazz it up!

Hi,
I loved the podcast. My son taught me how to download them onto my ipod so I can listen to them on the way to work. I’ve always wanted to try needle felting but thought I wouldn’t be able to. I would love to make a little white tailed deer, there are plenty where I live and they are so beautiful and sweet. Thank you for the interesting interview !

Great interview, Jennifer. I’d love to get my hands on this book. I caught the felting bug at Michigan Fiber Festival last year, and would love some inspiration. Off to check out Laurie’s website!

Baby animals are the sweetest and I imagine that their chubbiness would make them easier? But I also like fun monsters!
