So Pretty! My Craft Club Friends Sure Know How to Rock an Ornament Swap!

These are the sweet handmade ornaments I received in this year’s Craft Club swap and I love them. Elizabeth crocheted the adorable apron, Debbie (who is super talented and totally needs to start a blog to show off her work) knitted the cute little cupcake and Catherine made the stocking complete with an “I love handmade” pin AND stuffed said apron with lovely handmade earrings.

And a very special bonus surprise was a this wonderful pattern to make mini aprons from Joy. I LOVE it! Thank you so much! (It’s Simplicity #2748, in case you’re wondering.)

The roads were terrible here Tuesday evening when we did the exchange, but I think I would have driven through fire to get there. Sometimes a crafty woman just needs to sit around a table with other crafty women, sip hot chocolate and feel that for at least a couple hours everything is right with the world.

This year I broke with the tradition of making my ornaments out of fabric or yarn and went with paper clay. These are the ornaments Martha inspired me to make. Here’s a look at how they turned out…

I love that the ornaments look so cute together. :> I didn’t get to tell you, but I’m doing a woodsy tree for Joe this year in his office, so I will be putting my sweet pinecone there. I give him a squirrel ornament every year for Christmas – he thinks squirrels are hilarious – and have enough now for a mini tree. I love my ornaments too! I had fun, and the goodies were delish!
