CraftSanity Episode 90: Anna Maria Horner Returns to Chat About Her Fabulous Book ‘Seams To Me’

Back for an encore performance, Anna Maria Horner and I chatted again recently about her lovely new book, “Seams to Me: 24 New Reasons to Love Sewing.” If you missed our first conversation, I suggest you check out episode 73 for the full story of how Anna Maria got to where she is today. (This latest episode assumes you know all that stuff. :  )

Grab a project, a cup of mint tea and some honey toast and settle in to hear the story of what went into the making of the book and hear what’s next on Anna Maria’s to-do list. Sorry, folks, I didn’t get the scoop on baby #6 because she didn’t announce the wonderful news until after we recorded the interview. Please head over her blog for all the latest baby details and cravings reports. (Congrats Anna Maria and Jeff!)

Win Anna Maria’s Fabric & Book! Leave a comment below to enter the random drawing. Two winners will be selected. One will win a copy of “Seams to Me.” The other will win a mystery fabric surprise straight from Anna Maria’s studio. The deadline to enter is Friday, Dec. 12. Good luck, everyone!

“Seams -to-me” that Ann Maria may need to be letting hers out with baby no 6 on the way!

After listening to 5 straight CarftSanity Podcasts, I feel like a) I know you and b) I might need to learn to sew.

But until I learn to sew, I want to get my hands on some of Anna Maria’s great fabrics and my staple-gun to make a headboard for my bedroom.

Thank you for the giveaways and the great inspiration!

such interesting details, like taking 80 photo shots for each one ending up in the book. maybe you can ask more about how the colors get translated to the fabrics; does the company send out a color reference to work from? also interesting mention to use the home fabrics for quilting, too. a teacher, I like to read old sewing books; many of the classics are also very well illustrated. thanks so much.

Where do you think BBC gets their information concerning U.S.A? They have media contacts over here. Then they ask for public opinion and from those two issues, form an opinion that is related to the same opinion as FOX, CNN, NPR, msnbc, abc, nbc, blah blah blah.
