A New Apron and an Apology
Sadly, today is the last day of my vacation from work. I have so much more to do before I head back to the office, but I thought I’d post a picture of the “tubeapron top” I finished last night. The pattern is from “Doublestitch: Designs for the Crochet Fashionista,” by Erika and Monika Simmons. This was a fun project to make. I wore it out today and received many curious looks. It’s a little tricky to lace up in the back, but fun to wear once I figured it all out. I made my apron out of cotton from my stash, so I’m especially pleased with the cost of this project. My next crochet project is the “hiphanger” apron on p. 22. I’m really digging this book.
Now for that apology… If you looked for my column in today’s GR Press, I’m very sorry. I’ve been on vacation and didn’t write a column this week. Hopefully, I didn’t upset too many people. The column will be back in the paper next Sunday.
In unrelated contest news, Corinne M., of Colorado Springs, is the randomly selected winner of a copy of “Bead One, Pray Too.” Thanks to all who posted comments.
Okay, I have to go savor the last hours of my vacation. I’m telling you I really struggle with the return to the office after a week of freedom. My vacations are never long enough. I feel like I’m just getting started.
