I've created a line of wooden peg looms to make potholders and projects of other sizes. Read the story behind the looms and check out my etsy shop.

Monkey Business

monkey.jpgI’ve always loved sock monkeys. So it was a real kick to feature Dulce VanDyken in my latest craft column. Dulce is a talented West Michigan crafter who makes these fun monkeys to sell in her Etsy shop. If you’re local you can meet her at the Fulton Street Artisans Market next Sunday. The market is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays near the corner of Fulton Street and Fuller Avenue SE and features handmade goods made by local artists.

Dulce is also the artist behind those cool recycled wool rugs that I blogged about not long ago.

I post free project instructions every week over at my “Running with Needles” newspaper blog. This week I wrote up Dulce’s instructions for a “Taggie Blanket” for kids. Check it out.
