If You’re Thinking About Quitting Your Day Job…

glass.jpg

This week my art & craft column is about a Eric Brown, a stained glass artist who quit his day job and took the plunge into the wonderful world of art. If you’re looking for inspiration to fuel your creative dream, this might do the trick. You can read the story here.

P.S. CraftSanity episode 80 is on the way!

I need this story. I quit my job so my husband can pursue his master and crafting has been my way of coping with unemployment. I hope to turn my hobby into a business and it’s good to see that it is possible.

What a good story! I had success with this when we lived in hawaii, unfortunately i closed shop with the move. Good to see other making it. Stained glass is beautiful, my mother in law dabbles in it beautifully, keep trying to get her to sell a few pieces, she is nuts and always gives them away!

Hey, Jenn, thanks for the story on stained glass. It’s great to see someone make a living at this. I know it can be done, but it’s kind of scary to think about. Someday I hope to be at his level.

Thanks again.

A great story! I don’t know if I have what it takes to quit my day job just yet. But it’s so very inspiring to read about others who can!
