GRRR.

Doesn’t this rusty, old truck look like it’s growling at us? I just love its personality and couldn’t resist snapping some pictures. I’m on a newspaper deadline right now, so I’ll have to wait a day to tell you the story of how I came upon this truck. When I see things like this, I always want to take pictures. Sometimes I shoot it, and other times I try to ignore the urge to pull over and click away. I always regret it when I keep driving, passing up the chance to document the things that make looking at the world so much fun. I love studying the patterns in things. Inspiration is everywhere. Sometimes it’s covered in a layer of rust. What inspires you?

I’ve been playing with using rust in my earring designs. There’s something so nice about used and abused metal and it’s feeling of history. I love the truck photo!
